Modern Heating Uses K2A for Service Management
Modern Heating uses K2A for service management, financial, etc. We have not integrated Ving w/ K2A. We have had to use Ving as a separate system. It would be great if we could mesh the two & keep everything in one integrated system. To my knowledge an integration between the two systems is unlikely (…and for that matter I’m not sure if it’s possible) because K2A is proprietary. They will do custom add-ons but those are commissioned projects & we have not explored that option. K2A does have their own “safety-module” but we did not find that it worked for us. We have decided to put our safety eggs into the Ving basket.
Modern Heating is in the final phase of bringing our New Employee Orientation (NEO) from paper to Ving. Our Go-live date is Oct 19th. To this point, we have been using the attached New Employee checklist and a power point presentation. We have a foreman or supervisor go through the PPT with the new employee and complete the checklist. Once we complete the migration, the process will become learner driven. The new employee will be given an iPad & self – register on Ving. They will work through the orientation and answer test questions. The Checklist will be integrated into the process. We also have some other “forms’ that will be integrated into the NEO that new employees will read & acknowledge. I attached our sample distracted driving policy form.
